Soon after completing her education in 2015, she was lucky as she didn’t undergo the tarmacking process for long like many graduates. In August 2015, she was hired by one of the biggest private media houses in Kenya, Standard Media Group working as a business reporter for their flagship channel KTN.
She worked as a business reporter for some time before she was promoted to prime-time news anchor and reporter. Mazuri rose to prominence after the departure of Betty Kylo, one of the most influential news anchors in Kenya.
Her departure left a huge gap in the newsroom and the manager was looking for somehow who can fit in her shoes. In order to fill the gap, the manager teamed Mazuri with Jesse Rogers.
The two came to the newsroom with a different taste and styles taking the newsroom to the next level. Their chemistry did not only fill the gap but created a larger audience than expected.
With over a half-decade experience in the media industry, Mazuri is currently one of the top-ranked female news anchors in Kenya. For the past seven years, she has been in the media scene has created a reputable career for herself.
