Bandari F.C Players; being one of the oldest teams in Mombasa county, it has witnessed a series of legendary players since its inauguration in 1960 as LASCO FC. They subsequently merged with the Kenya Port Authority and formed Bandari FC alias the Dockers in 1985, a move that gave a lot of players hopes of earning from what they love.
Despite being founded in 1985, the club joined Kenya’s top league in 2012 after playing in the FKF league for 15 years following relegation in 1997. In the ten years, the club has been playing in the Kenya Premier League the team has not yet pocked any league title, however, it has several awards in its displays including the 2018 SportPesa Supercup.
As of the 2021-22 season, the boys are sitting in the top three, and the chances of clinching their first league title are very high.
Bandari F.C Players’ Salaries
The club is under full KPA management as well as sponsorship, meaning the financial records regarding the club are confidential. However, Kenya Ports Authority being among the biggest parastatals in Kenya the players must be earning handsomely.
Though the club has not encountered any issues in terms of salaries we assume their finance manager is doing a great job.

Currently, the full club squad is 32 players with 17% being of foreign nationality. However, despite having 32 players the team has a squad of 23 talented for the official line-up. Five goalkeepers, thirteen midfielders, eleven defenders, and seven attackers.
In 2021, the club signed four players to strengthen their squad starting with goalkeeper Joseph Okoth from KCB, Rodger Aloro, a defender from Tusker, Whyvonne Isuza, a midfielder from Wazito FC, and eventually Bonifance Mwangemi, a defender from Kariobangi Sharks.
The club is still open to selling and buying players in every transfer window and according to the club’s coach they are hoping to sign more talented players in the future.
