Philip Mong’ony is a Kenyan citizen currently serving as the chair of the State Corporation Advisory committee. He boasts 30 years of experience in the human resources practice and consultancy field and he has worked in different organizations in private and government capacity.
Philip is among the five appointees that were recently announced by H.E William Samoie Ruto who has been structuring his government bit by bit. While Abdi Duale took the helm of Kentraco, Phili has been entrusted with the State Corporation Advisory Committee.
His appointment took effect on 20th January 2023 and he will sit in that capacity for a stint of three years his performance might determine if he will be awarded another term or not.

Prior to his current position, Philip has served in numerous organizations both in government and in the private sector mainly serving in the human resource field. The Independent Human Resource Professional has worked with the Directorate of Personnel Management. On top of that, he has worked also worked with the Kenya National Trading Corporation.
He also spent a stint working in the Office of the President before moving to African Portland Cement where he served as the Head of Human Resources. After a successful stint at Portland Cement, he decided to dive into business joining the consultancy industry.
Philip decided to stick to his career despite being off employment and he established a Human Resource Consultancy firm and doubled it up with a Real Estate Business. In 2015, he was appointed as a board member of the Kenya Electricity and Transmission Company (KETRACO) which is currently chaired by Abdi Duale. Additionally, he’s a member of the Kenya Institute of Personnel Management.

The UDA government is currently under construction and they are slowly restructuring some of the government organs in order to ensure it delivers to the people. Philip is among the lucky people who have been appointed to help the government achieve its agendas. Being a board member of Ketraco, Philip is arguably one of the most qualified candidates for this job and he’ll serve for a three-year term.
