Sylvanus Osoro was born in May 1987, making him 37 years old as of 2024.
Sylvanus Osoro Family
He was the fifth child in a family six, three brothers and three sisters. Their father, Meshack Onyiego, was a secondary school teacher, while their mother Sarah Kemunto, was as a nurse at Kaplong Hospital in Bomet County.
However, things took a turn when his parents died within a span of four months, leaving them in a maze.

Osoro attended Chemasingi Primary School where he sat for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and scored 406 marks. He received an invitation to join Kapsabet Boys High School but was unable to join due to finncial constraints.
Later, by the help of a family friend, he joined Hill Secondary School in Kisiss where he sat for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education and scored a B+. He was selected to join Kenyatta University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Education but since he didn’t have passion in teaching, he declined the offer.

Sylvanus Osoro Background
Osoro was born in a family that was doing well as both his father and mother had good jobs. His father was a teacher while his mother was a nurse.
His father had started ailing and his condition was far from good. But then something strange happened suddenly. His mother fell ill, and within three weeks she was dead. Due to this sudden shock, his father’s condition also deteriorated and four months later he passed away.
This forced him and his siblings to seek refuge from different relatives. He ended up in Nairobi as a guest to his uncle who was a businessperson.
Things went south after his uncle was sent to jail. Due to instabilities at his new home, he had to run away and survive in the streets. He would live on the streets and sleep on pavements. This went on for about five months before a neighbor to his uncle found him and took him back to his aunt’s place.
This time he was taken to school and enrolled at Kihara Primary School. He however ran away to go live with another uncle in Mukuru kwa Njenga slums. The other uncle was a scrap metal dealer and he introduced Osoro to his business since he couldn’t take him to school. Through this he was able to raise some money to travel to Kericho with his brother.
After landing at his Uncle’s place in Kericho, he was enrolled at Chemasingi Primary school where he completed his primary education education. His exemplary performance earned him a position at Kapsabet Boys School but his uncle couldn’t pay the fees.
Some relatives who had benefited from his father’s wealth organized and sent him to Kamungei High School. His stay would only last for one term as he dropped out due to lack of school fees.
Having no other means to pursue education, he went back to his rural home and stayed with his grandfather. As he was out of school, he would do menial jobs to earn something but he also used to borrow notes from friends and read.
He got a chance to join Nyabiena Secondaries school after he went for an interview and passed. The school bursar was his relative and he used to assist him but he unfortunately died during the third term of schooling.
Sylvanus Osoro then went to live with his aunt and he was out of school.
Luckily, he met am man who had been acquainted with his father. This particular man happened to be the turning point. He offered him a scholarship at his private school Hill Secondary School in Kisii where he completed his secondary education.
Career
After completing high school and declining a chance to join Kenyatta University, Osoro moved to Nairobi and started hustling. He would sell Standard newspapers for Ksh 100 pay per day and a commission of Ksh 5 for each sold newspaper. He would also trade Mitumba clothes from Gikomba market.
He saved enough money and did CPA 1 and 2 and later enrolled for a Bachelor of Law degree at Mount Kenya University.
In addition to that, Osoro worked as a sales person before registering his own company. His company known as Pitch Fall Limited deals with sales and marketing.
Political Career
After ammasing enough finances, Osoro felt that he was good to go for a political seat. During the 2017 general elections, he vied for and won the MP seat for South Mugiranmgo constituency in Kisiis County. He became a household name in Kisii county following the popularuty he gained by associating himself with the then deputy president William Ruto who is now the President.

Sylvanus Osoro Rivarly with Simba Arati
On February 1, 2021, the South Mugirango MP and Simba Arati battled during the funeral of deputy governor Joash Maangi’s father. Arati’s words to Deputy President William Ruto provoked Osoro to jump on the podium, resulting in a lengthy scuffle. This forced them to leave the funeral early.
The MP apologized to Maangi’s family, stating he was just attempting to turn off the microphone to prevent his then-Dagoretti North MP, Simba Arati, from making incendiary remarks.
Recently, the two clashed again at a a function in Kisii County, South Mugirango constituency where governor Simba Arati was issuing bursaries to school children. It is alleged that area MP Sylvanus Osoro and his goons arrived at the function guns blazing.
They jumped from their vehicles with AK47 riffles and started shooting indiscriminately at the attendants. According to Simba Arati who later spoke to the press at at a different event, the attack was aimed at him and that the bullet directed to him ended up hitting one of his assistants on the left ear.
It is reported that several people sustained injuries from the scuffle and had been nursing injuries in the hospital. Simba promised not to take the issue lightly, hinting that he would be reverting back to his harsh personality when he was the MP for Daggoretti North.
