The East African Community Anthem Lyrics
These are the lyrics of the melodious East African Community Anthem that is usually sung on national holidays and events in Kenya and the East African Countries.
The 12th Ordinary Summit of East African Heads of State was held on December 3rd, 2010 at the Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge in Arusha, Tanzania.
During this summit, the East African Community anthem, “Wimbo wa Jumuiya ya Afrika Mashariki,” was approved.
The East African Community (EAC) is an intergovernmental organization comprised of six African Great Lakes countries in the continent’s east. Kenya, Burundi, South Sudan, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania are among them.
The heads of state of the six countries agreed to adopt the EAC anthem in order to strengthen the integration process among these countries.
