Most mornings I pull up Jambo News Daily before I’ve finished my coffee. Mainly I’m checking whether the town council pulled something overnight. Could be a zoning vote. Could be a missing dog that turned up three blocks away. That whiplash is kind of the appeal.

Nobody’s going to mistake Jambo News Daily for the Associated Press. It doesn’t try. It’s the paper that covers everything national outlets skip after their one-day parachute drop — the council agendas, the school board screaming matches, the crater on Route 9 that’s been swallowing hubcaps since March.
